Shipping Policy
We currently ship only to the United States. No international shipping.
As a small family farm, we're committed to getting your order to you swiftly. We kindly ask for your understanding as processing may take 1-2 weeks. You'll be notified via email with tracking information as soon as your shipping label is generated.
Farm Pickup Policy
On-farm pickup for dahlia tubers is available at Greenbank Farm on Sunday, April 13th, from 10 AM to 12 PM. Pickup outside this time is not possible. Shipping fees will be refunded upon successful pickup. Unclaimed orders will be shipped.
Dahlia Tuber Shop Policies
Before participating in our sale, we kindly ask that you familiarize yourself with our policies to ensure a smooth shopping experience. Non-compliance may result in order cancellation.
Sale Details:
Our 2025 Dahlia Tuber sale will commence on Saturday, March 22nd, at 9am PST. This is our sole online sale for the year, and no restocks will occur.
Communication:
Stay informed by subscribing to our newsletter. Subscribers get early updates on sale details and varieties. Ensure our emails (info@whidbeyislanddahlias.com) is marked as preferred sender to avoid them landing in your junk mail.
Inventory and Access:
All varieties will display as "Sold Out" until the sale begins. A password is not required to shop.
Satisfaction Guarantee:
We value your support and aim for your satisfaction. Our tubers, guaranteed true to variety, will have at least one viable eye. Please inspect your tubers upon receipt and report any issues to info@whidbeyislanddahlias.com within 7 days. After 7 days, the tuber’s condition is your responsibility, and we cannot be liable for issues such as improper storage or environmental factors.
Shipping Information:
We ship via USPS priority mail within the United States, including Alaska and Hawaii, between early and mid-April, post-frost. Shipping cannot be expedited, and a tracking number will be provided upon dispatch. We cannot guarantee delivery times due to potential USPS delays. Shipping costs are outlined below.
Shipping Issues:
Once shipped, we are not responsible for any USPS-related mishandling or delays. Packages are insured, and claims for lost, damaged, or stolen items must be filed directly with USPS.

Local Pickup:
For local pickups, select the "pickup" option at checkout. Pickups are available on April 20th from 10am to 3pm at XXXXXXX Our address is in your confirmation email. Shipping fees will be refunded upon pickup. Unclaimed orders will be shipped, and rescheduling is not permitted.
Cart and Checkout:
Placing an item in your cart does not reserve it. Your order is confirmed only upon completing checkout and receiving a confirmation. High-demand varieties may sell out quickly, and we appreciate your understanding.
Purchase Limits:
To ensure wider distribution, some sought-after varieties have purchase limits per household. Orders exceeding limits will be canceled.
Order Combining:
Due to high order volumes, we cannot combine orders.
Payment Options:
We accept major credit cards and Shop Pay. For efficient checkout, save your card details for autofill, and be prepared for potential verification codes via SMS with Shop Pay.
Tuber Health and Viruses:
According to the American Dahlia Society's (ADS) virus research, an average of 87% of healthy, asymptomatic dahlia plants carry at least one dormant virus. The ADS found that Dahlia Mosaic Virus (DMV) is the most prevalent virus among dahlias, and importantly, 75% of dahlias infected with DMV had NO symptoms. It's important to acknowledge that dahlia viruses are a known issue in the industry. We are committed to minimizing this risk through careful plant inspections and the removal of any suspect plants. Our hygiene practices include thorough tool sanitization during tuber division. To further control potential variables, we do not offer u-pick or u-dig at our farm. We are also subject to inspections by the Washington State Department of Agriculture. While we implement rigorous health protocols, we cannot provide a virus-free guarantee. Customers understand and accept the potential risk, and we do not issue refunds for virus-related problems.
Liability Limitations:
Buyers accept all risks post the initial 7-day inspection period. Refunds, limited to tuber cost, are not provided beyond this timeframe unless there's a breach of our true variety guarantee.
Conduct and Communication:
We uphold a respectful environment. Orders may be canceled due to poor conduct, harassment, or inappropriate communication. Please engage with kindness, recognizing the dedication we invest in our family-run farm. We are doing our best to make this a positive and happy experience.
